Allegations Against Nitish Kumar

Lalu Prasad, the leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), has accused former Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar of plotting to evict Rabri Devi from the government residence at 10 Circular Road and reducing the family's security. Following the notice to vacate the bungalow and the reduction in security, Lalu addressed reporters, confirming that their security had indeed been withdrawn, attributing the actions to Nitish Kumar.

Upon returning from Singapore, Lalu expressed his views on the situation, stating that everyone has gone mad. He criticized the NDA government for engaging in politics of hatred and revenge. The bungalow at 10 Circular Road was allocated to Rabri Devi due to her position as the leader of the opposition, and she, along with Lalu and other family members, has resided there for over two decades. However, after the NDA government took power last year, a notice to vacate the property was issued.

The deadline for vacating the bungalow expired on June 16. Subsequently, Rabri Devi requested the government to provide her with a separate room and necessary facilities in the alternative accommodation at 39 Harding Road, citing Lalu's health concerns. The Bihar government has already allocated the bungalow at 39 Harding Road to Rabri Devi, while the 10 Circular Road residence has been reassigned to Nand Kishore Ram, the state's Minister of Dairy, Fisheries, and Animal Resources.

In a letter to the Chief Minister, Rabri Devi mentioned that Lalu Prasad is at risk of infection and that doctors have advised him to stay away from other family members. She noted that a separate room had been specially constructed for him at the 10 Circular Road residence and requested a similar arrangement at 39 Harding Road before the family relocates.
