Hockey India has extended its congratulations to Lalremsiami, a forward for the Indian women's hockey team, for reaching the significant milestone of 200 senior international appearances. This achievement was marked during the gold-medal match against China at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games 2026. Since her debut in 2017, the 26-year-old has become a vital player for the national team, making substantial contributions in various international tournaments, as highlighted in a press release from Hockey India.


A Career Adorned with Medals

Lalremsiami's impressive career is decorated with numerous medals, including a silver medal from the 2018 Asian Games and a bronze in 2022. She was also part of the Indian squad that clinched bronze at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. Her contributions were pivotal in securing gold medals for India at the FIH Nations Cup in both 2022 and 2026. Additionally, she played a crucial role in the Asia Cup, helping India achieve gold in 2017, bronze in 2022, and silver in 2025. Her success continued at the Asian Champions Trophy, where she won gold in 2023 and 2024, alongside a silver medal in 2018.


Part of Historic Campaigns

Lalremsiami's impact extends beyond her medal tally; she has been integral to historic moments in Indian women's hockey. She was part of the team that achieved its highest Olympic finish, coming in fourth at Tokyo 2020, and contributed to India's fifth-place finish at the 2026 FIH Hockey Women’s World Cup, marking the country's best performance in the tournament's history since it began in 1974. Her consistent excellence has earned her the prestigious Arjuna Award.
