Stand-up comedian Kunal Kamra appeared before a committee of the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly on Thursday, asserting that he feels no remorse for his remarks directed at Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and will not issue an apology.

In a subsequent social media update, Kamra reiterated his stance, stating he will not offer a 'performative' apology.

A committee was established to investigate a complaint against Kamra following the issuance of a privilege breach notice.
