Kotla Police Post Transformed into Full-Fledged Police Station in Nurpur

In a significant development for public safety, the Kotla Police Post in Nurpur has been upgraded to a full-fledged police station. The inauguration, led by Minister Prof. Chander Kumar, marks a commitment to improved law enforcement services. With jurisdiction over 15 Gram Panchayats, the new station aims to enhance police presence and accessibility. The introduction of digital policing through CCTNS will streamline operations, making services more efficient. In a pivotal move aimed at enhancing public safety and law enforcement, the Kotla Police Post in Nurpur district has officially been upgraded to a full Police Station. The inauguration took place today, officiated by Hon’ble Prof. Chander Kumar, the Minister of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry for Himachal Pradesh.

The event saw the participation of the Superintendent of Police, Additional SP, various police officials, local representatives, and other dignitaries associated with the newly formed Kotla Police Station.


Transition from Police Post to Police Station

Having operated as a police post since 1997, Kotla has now been elevated to a full police station to better meet the growing demands of the community. The jurisdiction of the Kotla Police Station will encompass 15 Gram Panchayats, including Balaha Kotla, Soldha, Nyangal, Trilokpur, Bhali, Jol, Siyuni, Jangal, Kuther, Nadholi, Dol (Bhatehar), Padar, Rajol, Kothi Banda, and Behi Pathiar.


Introduction of Digital Policing

During the inauguration, the Minister made the inaugural Daily Diary (DD) entry on the CCTNS online platform, signifying the launch of digital policing at Kotla Police Station. This advancement is expected to enhance police operations and record-keeping, thereby improving service efficiency and accessibility.


Strengthening Local Policing

The upgrade is set to bolster police visibility and accessibility in the area. This initiative will enhance patrolling, crime prevention efforts, investigations, and ensure a quicker response to law-and-order issues. Residents will benefit from improved access to police services and grievance resolution at the station.
