Kokrajhar, June 27: A review meeting led by District Commissioner Pankaj Chakravarty was held to evaluate the readiness for the upcoming APSC Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination, 2026, along with the Special TET scheduled for June 28 in Kokrajhar district. A prohibitory order has been enacted in anticipation of the Special TET.

The Additional District Commissioner (Education) and Nodal Officer provided a comprehensive overview of the standard operating procedures (SOPs), proposed examination venues, and the logistical, administrative, and security measures being implemented to ensure a smooth, fair, and incident-free examination process.

During the meeting, the District Commissioner emphasized the necessity for all departments to follow the established guidelines and highlighted the importance of collaboration among all parties involved to maintain the integrity of the examination. He instructed officials to create a safe and well-organized environment for candidates.

The discussion concluded with a focus on examination-day protocols, security arrangements, transportation logistics, and contingency plans to guarantee the successful execution of both examinations throughout the district.

Attendees included the Superintendent of Police, Additional District Commissioner, Additional Superintendent of Police (Headquarters), Additional Superintendent of Police (Security), senior officials from the Education department, and principals from the designated examination centres.

In light of concerns regarding potential disruptions to public order, the district administration has issued a prohibitory order under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023. This order aims to prevent any attempts at unfair practices or unlawful interference with the examination process at designated centres such as Kokrajhar University and Kokrajhar Girls’ Higher Secondary School.

According to the order, gatherings of three or more individuals, excluding candidates and authorized personnel, are prohibited within a 100-meter radius of the examination centres. Additionally, unauthorized access to the examination sites, the use of electronic devices like smartwatches, mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, microphones, and similar gadgets, as well as carrying weapons or suspicious items, illegal parking, traffic obstruction, loudspeakers, and food stalls within the specified area are all restricted. Any individual found assisting candidates through dishonest means will face consequences.

This prohibitory order is effective immediately and will remain in place until the examination process is completed.
