Kiren Rijiju Critiques Rahul Gandhi's Leadership and Statements
Rijiju's Sharp Criticism of Rahul Gandhi
On Saturday, Kiren Rijiju, the Minister of Parliamentary Affairs, directed pointed remarks at Rahul Gandhi. In a discussion with a news agency, Rijiju asserted that Gandhi's own party members often feel uneasy during his speeches. He suggested that the Congress leader's comments are often nonsensical, leading to concerns among party MPs about potential repercussions for the Congress party.
Rijiju stated, "When Rahul Gandhi speaks, his MPs become quite uncomfortable. They fear that he will make absurd statements, which could cost the party dearly." He also addressed Gandhi's controversial remarks about Prime Minister Narendra Modi, noting that the Supreme Court reprimanded him for labeling the PM as a 'thief.'
Concerns Over Gandhi's Statements
The Minister highlighted that Gandhi has made contentious comments regarding the Rafael deal and China. Rijiju remarked, "He should express himself like a responsible Indian. I cannot change Rahul Gandhi; he is unlikely to heed advice. In a democracy, the Opposition should be robust, but they are failing to fulfill even basic opposition duties, let alone being a strong opposition."
Warnings About Destabilization
Rijiju intensified his critique by accusing Gandhi of attempting to destabilize the nation. He cautioned that the Congress leader is on a perilous path that could have significant implications. He stated, "Rahul Gandhi is following a very dangerous route. George Soros has mentioned that one trillion dollars are allocated to undermine the Indian government. Anti-India forces, including Khalistani groups in Canada, the US, and the UK, along with various Leftist organizations, are conspiring against our country. Rahul Gandhi and the Congress are collaborating with them, which is alarming. However, under PM Modi's leadership, no one can destabilize the nation."
Attacks on Government Institutions
Rijiju further emphasized that when the Congress party struggles to win elections, it resorts to attacking the Indian government and its institutions to diminish public confidence. He remarked, "They have repeatedly claimed that the judiciary and the Election Commission are compromised, aiming to weaken these institutions. Their conspiracies to undermine the nation and the government's credibility lead to unrest. They are operating with a Leftist mindset, and Rahul Gandhi is on a very dangerous path." Rijiju's comments have sparked significant backlash from members of the Opposition.
