Kiren Rijiju Criticizes Rahul Gandhi for Anti-National Remarks
Kiren Rijiju's Strong Rebuttal to Rahul Gandhi
On Friday, Union Minister Kiren Rijiju launched a fierce attack on Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi. He accused Gandhi of using anti-India rhetoric and undermining democratic institutions. Rijiju pointed out that even members of the opposition have criticized Gandhi's remarks, particularly his description of India as a 'ruined economy.' He emphasized that many prominent figures within the opposition are also opposing Gandhi's statements, asserting that one cannot label India as a ruined economy.
Rijiju urged Gandhi to act responsibly in line with his role, reminding him that he is not a child and should conduct himself as the opposition leader. He accused the opposition of deliberately obstructing parliamentary proceedings, arguing that this ultimately harms the opposition MPs themselves. "The opposition is preventing the house from functioning. The biggest loss is to the opposition MPs, who are unable to raise public issues," he stated. He further noted that both the Lok Sabha Speaker and the Deputy Chairman of the Rajya Sabha have made it clear that discussions should adhere to parliamentary rules.
The minister alleged that this is not the first instance of Rahul Gandhi threatening constitutional institutions, describing it as a significant conspiracy to weaken democracy. He labeled this behavior as extremely dangerous, claiming that the opposition is engaged in a malicious scheme to tarnish constitutional bodies. "This is an attack on democracy... even leaders from the opposition party have begun to internally oppose Rahul Gandhi... people are saying that Rahul is playing a dirty game and wants to damage the country's image," he added.
This sharp criticism follows Gandhi's recent escalated attacks on the Election Commission of India (ECI), where he accused the BJP of promoting voter fraud. Speaking to the media, Gandhi stated that the Congress had conducted a six-month-long investigation into the Bihar Special Intensive Review (SIR) campaign, revealing clear evidence of collusion with the Election Commission.
Gandhi reiterated his accusations against the Election Commission regarding the SIR exercise, asserting that they have clear evidence of the ECI's involvement in vote theft. He emphasized that anyone involved in this exercise, from top to bottom, will not be spared. "You are working against India, and this is nothing less than treason. No matter where you are, even if you are retired, we will find you."
