On Wednesday night, Kapil Sharma's cafe, known as 'Kap's Cafe', became the target of an attack by Khalistani extremists. Reports indicate that nine shots were fired at the establishment, with Harjit Singh Laddi, a Khalistani terrorist, claiming responsibility for the assault. He stated that the attack was a response to remarks made by the comedian regarding Nihang Sikhs during an episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show. Following the incident, Kap's Cafe released a statement expressing gratitude to their supporters.

Details of the Attack
The Surrey Police Service (SPS) in Canada reported that the shots were fired while staff members were still inside the cafe. Currently, the police do not have any descriptions of the suspects involved.
"On July 10, at 1:50 am, the Surrey Police Service responded to reports of gunfire at a business located in the 8400 block of 120 Street. Upon arrival, officers quickly determined that shots had been directed at the cafe, causing property damage while staff were present inside," stated the SPS.
Who is Harjeet Singh Laddi?
Harjeet Singh Laddi, the individual behind this attack, is a Canada-based operative linked to the banned terrorist organization Babbar Khalsa International (BKI). He is also implicated in the murder of Vikas Prabhakar, a senior leader of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), who was killed in Nangal, Punjab, in 2024.
