Ministerial Allocations Announced in Kerala
According to Lok Bhavan, Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan of Kerala assigned various departments to ministers in his United Democratic Front government on Wednesday. Key portfolios, including finance, law, general administration, and ports, have been retained. Senior Congress leader Ramesh Chennithala has been entrusted with the home and vigilance departments, along with three other significant portfolios. P.K. Kunhalikutty, a leader from the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML), will oversee seven departments, including industry, information technology, and textiles.
Kerala Congress President Suni Joseph has been given charge of the electricity and environment departments, while veteran Congress leader K. Muraleedharan has been appointed as the health and devaswom minister.
