Kejriwal Urges Generation Z to Protest Against NEET-UG 2026 Exam Cancellation

Arvind Kejriwal has called upon Generation Z to protest the cancellation of the NEET-UG 2026 exam, citing over 93 incidents of paper leaks since 2014. He questions the CBI's ability to address these issues and encourages youth to demand accountability from those involved. With the exam originally set for May 3 now in jeopardy, Kejriwal draws parallels to successful protests in Nepal and Bangladesh, urging young people to take action against corruption in the education system. The controversy surrounding the exam has sparked calls for a re-examination and a thorough investigation.

Kejriwal Calls for Action Against NEET-UG 2026 Exam Cancellation

On Wednesday, Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, urged Generation Z to take to the streets in protest against the cancellation of the NEET-UG 2026 exam, following allegations of paper leaks and irregularities. Indicating the involvement of senior leaders in the paper leak scandal, Kejriwal questioned whether the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which will lead the inquiry, could take any corrective actions. During a press conference, he stated that since the Modi government came to power in 2014, there have been 93 incidents of exam paper leaks, most of which occurred during the tenure of BJP governments. This has impacted six crore youth, with the majority of leaks happening in BJP-ruled states like Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Gujarat.

Kejriwal remarked that it is no coincidence that these states also have BJP governments at the center. Reports suggest that the recent NEET paper leak originated from Rajasthan, raising suspicions about the involvement of local leaders. He questioned the CBI's potential actions in this scenario and asked Generation Z if they believe this situation should continue. Citing protests by Generation Z in Nepal and Bangladesh that led to the downfall of governments, he expressed confidence that if they could bring about change, then the youth in India could also demand justice against those involved in the paper leak scandal.
