Kejriwal Criticizes Education Minister's Competence

The national convenor of the Aam Aadmi Party, Arvind Kejriwal, has labeled Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan as ineffective and incompetent. On Monday, he stated that due to the minister's actions, millions of children across the nation are facing mental distress.

Kejriwal has called for Pradhan's resignation in light of alleged irregularities in the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) evaluation system. In a video message shared on the social media platform X, he expressed that the significant discrepancies in CBSE assessments have plunged the futures of countless students into uncertainty. He urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to dismiss the education minister immediately.

He remarked, 'First NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) and now CBSE.' According to him, Pradhan is unfit to hold the position of education minister for even a single day.

Students Under Stress Amid Evaluation Issues

The former chief minister emphasized that many students in grades 10 and 12 are under immense pressure, and their parents are equally distressed. He noted that students have requested a re-evaluation of their scores, suggesting that the re-evaluation fees should be reduced to facilitate a quicker and manual process, ensuring timely college admissions for students.

Using an example from a friend, Kejriwal mentioned that he has received reports indicating that the online portal is malfunctioning, with scanning features appearing completely blurred. He stated, 'Our country's children cannot suffer mental trauma due to an incompetent and ineffective education minister. At the very least, Modi Ji should remove the education minister from his position immediately.'

On Sunday, the Ministry of Education announced that CBSE would seek assistance from experts at the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) in Madras and Kanpur to address the technical challenges faced by its post-result service portal.
