He further stated that he would travel to New Delhi if summoned by the party leadership. Following the conclusion of the by-elections, Deputy Chief Minister and state Congress president D.K. Shivakumar, a strong contender for the chief minister position, visited Delhi to meet with national leaders. Shortly after, a group of ministers loyal to Siddaramaiah also met with the high command in Delhi, urging them to clarify the ongoing uncertainty regarding leadership. Senior legislators are also planning to head to Delhi.

In the midst of these developments, Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge announced that there would be no changes to the chief minister's position.

Kharge acknowledged the pressure he faces to become the Chief Minister of Karnataka. In response to a question regarding local body elections, Siddaramaiah indicated that these elections would be held soon. Regarding the results and recounting controversy in Shringeri, the Chief Minister accused the BJP of orchestrating a criminal conspiracy during the counting process. He claimed that 255 valid votes cast in favor of Congress leader T.D. Rajegowda were declared invalid and alleged that the BJP, while in power, manipulated ballots through officials, labeling it a serious criminal act. He stated that the Shringeri results would be challenged in court.
