The long-awaited cabinet expansion in Karnataka is likely to take place on Monday. Close sources to Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar have indicated that the final list of ministers is expected to receive approval by Sunday night or early Monday morning.
According to these sources, the decision was made during a meeting held on Thursday at the residence of Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge in New Delhi. The meeting included prominent figures such as Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, Chief Minister Shivakumar, former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Congress General Secretary K.C. Venugopal, AICC Karnataka in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala, and Karnataka Congress President B.K. Hariprasad.
Sources close to the Chief Minister revealed that the leadership discussed potential candidates for the cabinet, taking into account factors such as caste, religion, and regional representation. It was decided that the list of potential candidates would be finalized by Sunday night or Monday morning.
Following this, the cabinet expansion is anticipated to occur on Monday evening.
