A solemn ceremony was held in Kandwal, Nurpur Tehsil, to mark the 27th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas. The event saw the participation of Nurpur MLA Ranbir Singh Nikka and Kangra MP Rajiv Bhardwaj, alongside retired military personnel and notable local figures.
During the event, MP Rajiv Bhardwaj reflected on the valor displayed by the martyrs, stating that the bravery and sacrifices of Indian soldiers during the Kargil War compelled the Pakistani forces to retreat. He highlighted the profound importance of Kargil Vijay, which continues to motivate future generations with stories of heroism.
MLA Ranbir Singh Nikka, together with retired army officials present, paid tribute to the fallen soldiers. They encouraged the youth to take inspiration from these heroes who gave their all for the nation's dignity and to engage in service to the country.
The gathering served as a poignant reminder of the ultimate sacrifices made by the Kargil martyrs and the lasting legacy of their bravery.
