Kangra Launches 'Mediation for the Nation 3.0' Campaign to Resolve Legal Disputes

Shri R. Mihul Sharma, the Secretary of the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) in Kangra, announced the launch of the “Mediation for the Nation 3.0” campaign. This initiative is guided by the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) and its Mediation and Conciliation Project Committee.


Objectives of the Campaign

The campaign is being implemented in all taluka courts and the District Court in Kangra, aiming to provide a swift, straightforward, and effective resolution for long-standing cases through mediation and conciliation.


Types of Disputes Addressed

Shri Sharma pointed out that the initiative focuses on resolving various disputes, including marriage and family issues, motor accident claims, domestic violence, cheque bounce cases, commercial disagreements, service matters, compoundable criminal cases, consumer disputes, loan recovery, partition, eviction, land acquisition, and other relevant civil matters.


Understanding Mediation

He elaborated that mediation serves as an alternative dispute resolution method, where trained mediators help parties engage in dialogue to reach mutual agreements. This process is confidential, cost-effective, and time-efficient, fostering relationship preservation while alleviating the court's workload.

Shri Sharma encouraged the residents of Kangra to fully utilize this campaign, advocating for mediation as a means to achieve peaceful, prompt, and satisfactory resolutions for their pending issues.
