Kangra Athletes Shine at Himachal Pradesh Tong-Il-Moo-Do Championship 2026-27

Kangra district athletes delivered an impressive performance at the First Himachal Pradesh Tong-Il-Moo-Do Championship, securing a total of 15 medals, including 6 golds. The event, held at Kisan Bhawan in Bilaspur, showcased the talent and dedication of the participants from Ajay Martial Arts Academy. With standout performances in both girls' and boys' divisions, the athletes were praised by association leaders for their hard work and commitment. The athletes from Kangra district showcased remarkable skills at the First Himachal Pradesh Tong-Il-Moo-Do Championship 2026-27, which took place on September 12-13 at Kisan Bhawan, Bilaspur. The team achieved a remarkable total of 15 medals, comprising 6 gold, 7 silver, and 2 bronze.


According to Anshuman Vashisth, the General Secretary of the District Kangra Tong-Il-Moo-Do Association, 15 competitors from Ajay Martial Arts Academy in Nurpur participated and excelled in various weight categories.


In the girls’ category, Prisha, Simran, Ragini, Neha, and Mannat each secured gold medals through their exceptional performances. Silver medals were awarded to Mridul, Kritika, and Pratibha, while Nitika took home a bronze medal. In the boys’ category, Anshuman won gold, with Vivaan, Samarjeet, Krishna, and Tanveer Singh earning silver medals. Arav Gupta also achieved a bronze medal.


The Kangra team was expertly managed by Dimple Vashisth and coached by Neha, who played a crucial role in guiding the athletes to their achievements.


Leaders of the association, including District President Shri Lekh Raj, State President Shri Brij Lal Chauhan, and General Secretary Ajay Vashisth, extended their congratulations to all medalists, coaches, and the entire team, wishing them continued success.
