Kangana Ranaut Returns to Cinemas with a Powerful Narrative

Mumbai: Renowned actress and politician Kangana Ranaut is gearing up for her next cinematic venture, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata, which is set to hit theaters on June 12 this year, as announced by the film's producers on Wednesday.

The film is inspired by the harrowing events of the 2008 Mumbai attacks, focusing on the remarkable true accounts of hospital personnel—including nurses, ward boys, and security staff—who displayed unwavering bravery amidst chaos.

Kangana expressed her thoughts on the film, stating, “While we often celebrate grand acts of heroism, true courage is often understated—it steps in quietly and fulfills its duty. Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata reveals a lesser-known narrative of bravery, sacrifice, and unity among ordinary individuals who stood firm against terror. This film embodies patriotism in its purest form, showcasing how duty transforms into action. I am honored to be part of a project that pays homage to those who kept the city united during its darkest hours, and I eagerly await audiences to experience it on June 12.”

Director Manoj Tapadia remarked, “On June 12, viewers will experience a gripping, emotional, and profoundly human thriller. However, at its heart, Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata transcends the theme of terror—it celebrates the victory of courage over fear, compassion over chaos, and selflessness in perilous times. It narrates the tale of everyday individuals, particularly women, who made life-altering decisions when it mattered the most. This film is a tribute to the unsung heroes who remind us that true valor often emerges from the most unexpected sources.”

Produced by Dr. Jayantilal Gada (Pen Studios), Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata features a talented ensemble cast, including Girija Oak, Smita Tambe, Amrutha Namdev, Esha Dey, Priya Berde, Asha Shelar, Suhita Thatte, Rasika Aghase, Aditya Mishra, and Zahid Khan, among others.
