Kangana Ranaut Critiques Rahul Gandhi's 'Magician' Remarks in Lok Sabha

BJP MP Kangana Ranaut targeted opposition leader Rahul Gandhi during a Lok Sabha session on Friday, criticizing his comments about a 'magician' in Parliament, which she described as a headache. She suggested that the Congress leader might be suffering from mental trauma due to magic shows he witnessed in his childhood. Speaking to reporters, Ranaut expressed that listening to Gandhi was quite painful, attributing his distress to childhood experiences with magic shows. She emphasized that his remarks were a mockery of the Parliament.

During the discussion on the Women's Reservation Bill, Gandhi referred to Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a 'magician,' which led to uproar in the lower house. He claimed that the BJP is fearful of the political turmoil in the country and is attempting to alter the political landscape of India. Gandhi pointed out that such changes have already occurred in Assam and Jammu and Kashmir, and now the BJP seems to believe they can replicate this across the nation, which would require constitutional amendments.

He further stated that the truth is the 'magician' has been caught—referring to the Balakot airstrike and the demonetization as acts of magic that have now been exposed. He suggested that there is a collusion between the BJP and certain business interests. The BJP responded strongly to Gandhi's remarks, with Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju condemning the Congress leader for using inappropriate language towards the Prime Minister and for tarnishing the reputation of the nation and its armed forces by referencing the Balakot attacks and Operation Sindoor.
