Her comments arise in the wake of a heated debate surrounding a song from the upcoming Kannada film KD: The Devil, featuring Nora Fatehi and Sanjay Dutt. The song, titled Sarke Chunar Teri Sarke, faced backlash online for its explicit lyrics and suggestive visuals shortly after its YouTube release.

Addressing reporters outside Parliament, Ranaut criticized the film industry for pushing boundaries solely for attention. She believes that commercial entertainment is increasingly leaning on sensationalism, which she argues undermines societal values.
