Jyotiraditya Scindia Launches Major Development Initiatives in Guna

Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has launched a series of development initiatives in Guna, totaling around ₹350 crores. His visit included the inauguration of a solar plant, a substation, and various infrastructure projects aimed at enhancing local welfare and environmental conservation. Scindia emphasized the importance of public participation in these efforts and highlighted plans for women's empowerment and cultural heritage preservation. With a focus on health, education, and infrastructure, he aims to bring significant positive changes to the region, ensuring a brighter future for its residents.
 

Significant Development Projects Unveiled in Guna

During a four-day visit to Guna, Union Minister for Communications and Development of the Northeastern Region, Jyotiraditya Scindia, inaugurated and laid the foundation for development projects worth approximately ₹350 crores. Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, these initiatives aim to accelerate the district's growth. Scindia participated in various programs related to environmental conservation, water enhancement, irrigation, railways, roads, energy, skill development, agricultural infrastructure, women's empowerment, health, and public welfare, while also chairing a review meeting on the progress of different development works.


‘One Tree for Mother’ Campaign Becomes a Public Movement

The visit commenced at the source of the Kuno River in Kanja village, where Scindia planted 700 saplings as part of the ‘One Tree for Mother’ campaign, inspired by Prime Minister Modi. He also launched the ‘Water Ganga Conservation Campaign – A Public Movement’ and inaugurated a check dam in village Chinera, constructed at a cost of ₹17.98 lakhs. He emphasized that the conservation of water, forests, and land is only possible through public participation, making environmental protection a collective responsibility of every citizen.


Foundation Laid for ₹278 Crore Substation in Mudra Hanuman

On the final day of his visit, Scindia laid the foundation stone for a ₹278 crore substation in Mudra Hanuman. This facility is expected to directly benefit over 225,000 residents across 225 villages, with a 100 km power line being installed. Scindia stated that this substation will illuminate millions of homes and alleviate issues related to power cuts.


Strengthening Clean Energy, Skill Development, and Power Infrastructure

During his visit, Scindia inaugurated a 4.5 MW capacity solar plant in Khutiyawad, built at a cost of ₹20 crores, which will generate approximately 7.5 million units of clean electricity annually. Additionally, he inaugurated a modern ITI building in Tilwara (Marki Mahu) at a cost of ₹14.74 crores and a power substation in Dhanwadi worth ₹2.18 crores. He noted that these projects will ensure skill development for youth and quality electricity supply in rural areas.


New Initiatives for Rail, Road, and Agricultural Infrastructure

Scindia flagged off the Bina-Ruthiyai-Bina MEMU train service from Guna railway station. He mentioned that a proposal to adjust the train schedule based on local passenger demand has been sent to the Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw.
He also laid the foundation stone for a new fruit and vegetable market costing approximately ₹3 crores and inaugurated three roads—Barkheda Gird-Durduru, Budhe Balaji-Hanuman Tekri, and Mahuguda Phatak-Bamori Bujurg—constructed at a cost of ₹11.64 crores. Additionally, land leases were distributed to 160 beneficiaries in Budhe Balaji.


Focus on Women Empowerment and Public Welfare

Scindia interacted with beneficiaries of the Prime Minister's Street Vendor Scheme and women from self-help groups. He highlighted the success stories of women entrepreneurs as an inspiration for a developed India and assured that self-help groups with an annual turnover exceeding ₹1 crore would be provided with loading vehicles through the MP fund.


Promotion of Faith, Culture, and Heritage Conservation

Scindia visited the Hanuman temple in Tekri, praying for the prosperity of the state and the nation. He also laid the foundation stone for the renovation of the historic Ram Janaki temple in village Patai, which will cost around ₹20 lakhs, stating that this temple will become a significant center of cultural heritage in the region.


Review of Health, Education, Sports, and Infrastructure Projects

During his visit, Scindia chaired a review meeting to assess various development plans. He reported that a maternity ward with 50 beds, a critical care unit with 50 beds, a new hospital building with 150 beds, and the installation of MRI, bone density, and C-arm machines are in progress. The number of doctors has increased from 40 to 56, and nursing staff from 160 to 188. A proposal for approximately ₹20 crores for the rejuvenation of the Kuno River is being sent to the Ministry of Water Power, which will irrigate about 1,800 hectares of land. He also reviewed several ambitious projects, including the ₹267 crore Niwari irrigation project, ₹100 crore Paneti dam project, ₹100 crore Paladoria project, and the drinking water scheme based on the Sindh River, directing officials to complete these tasks on time.

Scindia stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, development work in the Guna parliamentary constituency is progressing at an unprecedented pace. He emphasized that development is not limited to construction projects but aims to bring positive changes in the lives of every citizen. He expressed confidence that Guna will establish a new identity in irrigation, education, health, agriculture, industry, railways, roads, and energy in the future.
