Minister's Third Day in Shivpuri Focuses on Community Service and Education
On the third day of his visit to Shivpuri, Jyotiraditya Scindia, the Union Minister for Communications and Development of the Northeast, actively participated in various programs aimed at community service, youth empowerment, and educational advancement. He addressed public grievances through a listening session and engaged with talented students and technical institute attendees to discuss future directions. Notably, during this visit, the minister announced development projects worth approximately ₹200 crores for Shivpuri district, which are expected to significantly enhance the region's infrastructure.
Public Hearing Receives 782 Applications with Transparent Solutions
During a public hearing held in the Kota area of Shivpuri, Scindia reviewed around 782 applications. Many issues were resolved on the spot, while instructions were given for the swift resolution of pending cases. He explained that each application is registered under a token system linked to online tracking, ensuring transparent and timely reviews. Special attention was given to matters related to Ayushman cards, BPL cards, certificates, the Ladli Behna scheme, and registrations for the PM housing scheme.
Second Phase of Public Hearings Engages Over 3000 Citizens
This public hearing is part of the second phase of a series, which has seen three major camps held in Shivpuri district over the past three days—Lukwasa, Bhonti, and Kota. More than 3000 citizens had their issues addressed directly in the presence of the central minister, district administration, police officials, and local representatives.
Dialogue with Meritorious Students Emphasizes Their Role in Nation Building
In the morning, Scindia interacted with high-achieving students from classes 10 and 12, as well as UPSC candidates, at the Tourist Village, honoring their accomplishments. He encouraged them to pursue knowledge and experiences while sharing his personal journey. Scindia highlighted that India is progressing rapidly and urged students to act responsibly for both their families and the nation, emphasizing India's potential for global leadership. He expressed delight that nearly 70% of the meritorious students were girls, symbolizing the growing contribution of women.
Engagement with Students at UIT RGPV Aims for Top-Notch Institution
Scindia held a direct dialogue with around 200 students at the University Institute of Technology (RGPV) in Shivpuri, listening to their suggestions and inspecting the college campus. He proposed the formation of a robust Student Council to systematically address student issues and suggested establishing a strong alumni association with chapters across the country. He assured that the institution would be developed into a 'top-notch' college, considering student feedback. Furthermore, he mentioned that the establishment of a ₹2500 crore defense unit in the future would create new opportunities for civil and mechanical engineering students, allowing them to gain industrial experience.

Scindia stated that his goal extends beyond merely solving problems; he aims to provide opportunities for youth and ensure comprehensive regional development. He expressed confidence that through public dialogue and participation, Shivpuri would reach new heights of development.

Following his visit to Shivpuri, Scindia departed for Gwalior, where he will inspect the much-anticipated Western Bypass project and review further actions to enhance regional connectivity.
