Hockey India has warmly congratulated Jugraj Singh, a defender and dragflick specialist for the Indian Men's Hockey Team, on reaching the significant milestone of 100 international caps. This achievement was celebrated during India's FIH Pro League match against Germany in Rotterdam, Netherlands, on Thursday.
Jugraj's Journey in Hockey
Originating from Amritsar, Punjab, Jugraj made his senior international debut in 2022 during the FIH Pro League matches held in South Africa. He quickly became a key player in the Indian defense, known for his powerful dragflicks and strong defensive skills. At 29 years old, Jugraj has played a pivotal role in numerous historic victories for India, including being part of the gold medal-winning team at the Asia Cup 2025 in Rajgir, Bihar. His accolades also feature gold medals from the Asian Champions Trophy in 2023 and 2024, held in Chennai and China, respectively, along with a silver medal from the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham.

In a recent match, the Indian Men's Hockey Team showcased a strong performance, defeating Germany 3-1 during their second game of the FIH Hockey Pro League 2025-26 in Rotterdam. Goals were scored by Mandeep Singh (7'), Shilanand Lakra (13'), and Nilakanta Sharma (35'), emphasizing the team's robust defensive strategy.
