Festive Spirit at Himalayan Public School

In Nagrota Bagwan, the Himalayan Public Senior Secondary School marked the vibrant festival of Janmashtami with immense joy and devotion. The school grounds were adorned with beautiful decorations, and students eagerly engaged in various cultural activities.

The festivities began with the lighting of a lamp by Director Anurag Gupta and Principal Sapna Dogra in front of Lord Krishna's idol. Students from grades I to V showcased delightful performances that illustrated the playful childhood stories of Shri Krishna. The event was lively and well-hosted by Ms. Deepika and Ms. Kusum Lata.

• Students from Class I ‘A’ enchanted the audience with “Mere Kanha Ne Bansi Bajai”, while Class I ‘B’ presented “Krishna Makhan Chor”.


• Class II students performed “Daras Kanhaiya Ke”, followed by Class III ‘A’ with “Natkhat Bansi Wale Gokul Ke Raja” and Class III ‘B’ with “Dhol Nagade Bajya Kare”.


• Class IV ‘A’ captivated everyone with “Shyamala Sanware”, and Class IV ‘B’ delighted the crowd with “Radha Gori Gori”.


• Class V ‘A’ sang “Govind Bolo, Hare Gopal Bolo”, while Class V ‘B’ performed “Kanha Re Thoda Pyar De”.

Dressed as young Krishna and Radha, the children won hearts with their charm and innocence. A spirited Matki Phod competition further enhanced the festive atmosphere, with enthusiastic participation from the students. Teachers also shared inspiring tales and lessons from Lord Krishna's life, encouraging students to embrace values such as love, truth, duty, and righteousness.

On this special occasion, Director Anurag Gupta and Principal Sapna Dogra conveyed heartfelt Janmashtami wishes to everyone, highlighting the significance of incorporating Shri Krishna’s teachings into everyday life. The celebration wrapped up with the distribution of prasad, filling the campus with joyous chants of “Jai Shri Krishna”.
