Jodhpur Teacher Charged Under POCSO Act for Inappropriate Proposal to Student

The girl's father reported that the teacher made inappropriate comments and gestures, leading to a police complaint. The situation escalated when the father accused education officials of pressuring him to withdraw his complaint. Teacher Faces Serious Allegations in Jodhpur

In Jodhpur district, a school teacher has been charged under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. The allegations involve the teacher making an inappropriate proposal to a ninth-grade student.


As reported by a media outlet, the father of the girl accused the teacher of harassment, claiming that he followed his daughter home.


In his police report, the father detailed that during a lunch break, the English teacher expressed his feelings for the student, stating that his horoscope indicated he would have two wives.


Additionally, the father alleged that the teacher, identified as Dalpat Garg, stalked his daughter and made lewd gestures towards her. He also lodged a complaint against the Chief Block Education Officer (CBEO) and the Assistant Chief Block Education Officer (ACBEO), accusing them of pressuring him to retract his complaint.
