Major Decision Amid Protests


Ranchi: In response to ongoing protests from job seekers regarding alleged discrepancies in recruitment exams, Jharkhand's Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced on Monday the cancellation of the JSSC-CGL examination along with all job assessments conducted by the outsourced firm TDPL since 2014.


This significant decision was made during an extensive cabinet meeting led by Soren.


Soren stated, "The government has resolved to annul the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission-Combined Graduate Level (JSSC-CGL) exam, which was a primary demand of the protesting candidates. Additionally, we will cancel all assessments carried out by the outsourced agency TDPL (TSR Data Processing Pvt Ltd) and the results it has published."


Furthermore, he revealed the establishment of a committee focused on examination reforms, which will be chaired by senior IAS officer Amitabh Kaushal.


The job aspirants have been voicing their concerns over alleged irregularities in the recruitment process, calling for a CBI investigation and the cancellation of the JSSC-CGL exam.


As of Monday, the protests have reached their 24th day, with six demonstrators still engaged in a hunger strike.
