Theft at Government Official's Residence

A significant theft occurred at the residence of a government official in central Delhi, where gold jewelry, cash worth millions, and foreign currency were stolen while the official was abroad with family. This incident was reported by the police on Thursday.


According to the First Information Report (FIR) filed at the Tughlak Road police station, the official had traveled to Spain and Italy for a vacation starting June 13, with plans to return to India on the night of June 29.


The official received a call from their domestic helper while en route back to Delhi, informing them of the burglary. Subsequently, the police were alerted, and a team was dispatched to the scene. The official confirmed the theft upon arriving home at 9:30 PM that same evening.
