Jay Pawar Raises Alarms Over Aviation Safety Following Father's Tragic Accident
Concerns Over Aviation Safety
In the wake of losing his father, former Maharashtra Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, in a tragic plane crash, Jay Pawar has accused VSR Ventures of serious safety violations in their aircraft operations. He shared a video that allegedly shows an individual sleeping in the pilot's seat during a flight, describing the incident as shocking and calling for immediate action from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). Jay urged the aviation authority to ground all aircraft operated by VSR Ventures and to conduct a thorough investigation into the company's safety protocols.
Demands for Accountability
Jay Pawar has also called for the arrest of VSR Ventures' owner, holding the company accountable for its alleged negligence. Notably, Ajit Pawar was aboard the same aircraft when it crashed while attempting to land in Baramati, resulting in his death. Jay emphasized the need for stringent measures and comprehensive investigations to prevent future tragedies. He expressed his grief on Instagram, stating, "I lost my father... this pain will stay with us forever." He condemned the apparent negligence displayed in the video, labeling it as unacceptable and extremely serious.
The Plane Crash Incident
The chartered aircraft carrying Ajit Pawar took off from Mumbai around 8 AM and crashed approximately 45 minutes later while trying to land near Baramati Airport. Alongside Ajit Pawar, four other individuals were on board, and none survived the incident. Following his passing, Ajit Pawar's wife, Sunetra Pawar, was elected as the Deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra and later appointed as the head of the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).
Call for Immediate Action
Jay Pawar reiterated his demand for urgent and strict action from the DGCA, insisting that all VSR aircraft should be grounded until a full investigation is completed. He urged for the immediate arrest of Rohit Singh, the owner of VSR, and called for severe legal repercussions against him. This heartfelt plea comes not only as a son mourning his father but also as a call for the safety of all passengers.
