Opting to bowl first, Indian captain Shreyas Iyer led his team to restrict Afghanistan to a total of 159 runs for 8 wickets in their allotted 20 overs. Key contributions came from opener Ibrahim Zadran (37), Darwish Rasooli (26), Rashid Khan (28), and Mohammad Nabi (20), who helped set a competitive score despite Bumrah's early breakthroughs.
