Congress Critiques PM Modi's Commitment to Youth Welfare

New Delhi: Following Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent statements advocating for youth welfare, the Congress party has responded by asserting that the PM appears 'rattled' and has significantly jeopardized the future of young people in India.

Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, accused Modi of facilitating the complete takeover and degradation of the nation's education system while shielding those accountable for its decline.

Gandhi expressed on social media, "You are the one who has harmed the future of our youth the most. You allowed and encouraged the total capture and destruction of our education system – and protected every person responsible for it."

He outlined the students' demands, which include the dismissal of Dharmendra Pradhan, an apology to the students, and action against those who have assaulted them.

Jairam Ramesh, Congress's general secretary for communications, criticized Modi for lacking the courage to engage in meaningful discussions in Parliament, unlike his predecessors.

Ramesh remarked that Modi's recent social media post, intended to show concern for student issues, instead reveals that he is unsettled.

He added, "Vote Chori, Seat Chori, Chanda Chori, Exam Paper Chori' – the list goes on and on," highlighting ongoing issues.

This criticism follows Modi's assertion on social media that the welfare and future of youth are paramount.

Modi announced plans to establish fast-track courts to ensure prompt and severe penalties for those involved in examination paper leaks, emphasizing that the government is taking necessary measures to protect student interests.

He concluded by stating, "Those who attempt to jeopardize the future of our youth will not be spared."
