Iran's Military Spokesperson Questions Trump's Negotiation Claims

In a recent statement, Iran's military spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Ibrahim Zolfaghari, challenged Donald Trump's claims regarding negotiations for a ceasefire. He mocked Trump, suggesting that the U.S. should have resolved the crisis if it were truly a superpower. Zolfaghari emphasized that the era of Trump's empty promises is over and reiterated Iran's unwavering stance against compromising with U.S. leadership. This comes amid rising tensions and a reported ceasefire plan allegedly sent to Iran through Pakistan. The situation continues to escalate as both sides exchange sharp words.

Iran's Response to Trump's Statements

A senior military spokesperson from Iran challenged Donald Trump on Wednesday, questioning whether he was engaging in self-dialogue. This remark came in light of several statements made by the U.S. President regarding negotiations aimed at reaching a ceasefire following days of drone and missile attacks. Lieutenant Colonel Ibrahim Zolfaghari, spokesperson for the Iranian Army's Khatam al-Anbia Central Headquarters, made these comments during a pre-recorded video broadcast on state television. His remarks followed a series of jabs aimed at Trump.

Zolfaghari stated, "Hey Trump – you’re fired!" suggesting that Trump should be familiar with this phrase. According to reports, he emphasized that the strategic power Trump once spoke of has now turned into a strategic failure. He further declared that the era of Trump's empty promises has come to an end.

Critique of U.S. Power

The spokesperson criticized the notion of the U.S. as a global superpower, asserting that if it were truly capable, it would have resolved the current crisis by now. He urged Trump not to label his failures as agreements, stating, "Your era of hollow promises is over." Zolfaghari questioned whether internal conflicts had escalated to the point where Trump was negotiating with himself. This statement followed reports that the Trump administration allegedly sent a 15-point ceasefire plan to Iran via Pakistan.

He reiterated that from day one, Iran's position has remained consistent: they will never compromise with individuals like Trump.

Mockery Amid Rising Tensions

Previously, an Iranian official mocked Trump as the deadline for the Strait of Hormuz approached. Zolfaghari released a video message sharply criticizing Trump, using the phrase, "You’re fired!" in English, in the context of the impending deadline.
