Iran's Foreign Minister Advocates for Enhanced Economic Ties with Neighbors

Tehran, Dec 4: Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi has indicated that his ministry is prepared to enhance economic and trade relationships with various countries, particularly those in the region, as reported by local media on Thursday.
During a meeting with lawmakers, Araghchi shared insights regarding the Foreign Ministry's views on both regional and global developments. He emphasized the initiatives undertaken by the ministry to protect national interests, according to Iran's semi-official Tasnim News Agency.
He underscored the necessity of fostering collaboration between Iran's Foreign Ministry and Parliament to effectively fulfill the responsibilities of the diplomatic framework.
Earlier this week, Araghchi reiterated the Foreign Ministry's ongoing commitment to safeguarding Iran's rights and interests. He described the preservation of national unity and cohesion as a collective duty essential for overcoming adversities posed by external threats, as reported by the official Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA).
Reflecting on the past year's foreign policy developments, Araghchi characterized Iran's resistance against assaults from Israel and the US as a pivotal moment in the nation's history. He reiterated that maintaining national unity is crucial for successfully confronting adversaries.
He commended the Iranian people's resolve in defending their nation and countering external pressures, attributing Iran's historical victories to the intelligence, wisdom, and courage of the Supreme Leader, the sacrifices made by the Armed Forces, and the solidarity among the Iranian populace.
Araghchi highlighted the importance of enhancing national strength across various domains, including defense, social capital, and economic stability, while noting that the government is actively working to address Iran's economic challenges.
