Iran's Response to US Threats

Iran has firmly rejected the recent ultimatum from US President Donald Trump, who has warned of severe consequences for the nation if a peace agreement is not established within 48 hours. Trump has threatened to target Iran's critical infrastructure, escalating tensions further.

The conflict, which began with coordinated strikes by the US and Israel on February 28, has resulted in significant casualties, disrupted global markets, and increased fuel prices while threatening vital shipping routes. Both nations have engaged in attacks on civilian sites, raising alarms about potential war crimes.

General Ali Abdollahi Aliabadi, from the "Khatam al-Anbiya" Central Headquarters, criticized Trump's statements, labeling them as "helpless, nervous, unbalanced, and foolish," as reported by Al Jazeera. He warned that if Iran's infrastructure is targeted, it would unleash severe repercussions.

In a post on his Truth Social platform, Trump reiterated his stance, stating that Iran must either negotiate or face dire consequences, emphasizing that time is running out. He recalled a previous ultimatum given to Iran regarding the strategic Hormuz Strait, asserting that the deadline is imminent.

Previously, Trump had announced a temporary halt on strikes against Iran's energy infrastructure, claiming it was at the request of the Iranian government, although Tehran denied this assertion. Meanwhile, the search for a missing US military pilot continues following the downing of two warplanes as the conflict intensifies.
