Iran has intensified its military actions by launching missile strikes against Israel, expressing gratitude to supportive nations like India. This escalation follows a series of retaliatory measures after joint U.S.-Israeli airstrikes that targeted Iranian officials. The conflict, now in its 28th day, has seen Iran targeting key military installations and blocking vital maritime routes. As tensions continue to rise, the international community watches closely, especially with concerns surrounding Iran's nuclear facilities. This article delves into the latest developments and implications of the ongoing conflict.

Iran's Missile Assault on Israel

Tehran: On Friday, Iran executed a series of missile strikes aimed at various locations in Israel as tensions in the region intensified. The missiles were inscribed with messages of gratitude directed towards nations that have expressed solidarity, including India. The Iranian consulate released images showcasing these missiles adorned with special acknowledgments for India, alongside similar messages for Germany, Spain, and Pakistan. The Aerospace Force of Iran conveyed its appreciation to the citizens of #Spain, #Pakistan, #India, and #Germany for their support, particularly during the 83rd missile response wave directed at the U.S. and #Israel, as stated in a post on X, accompanied by images of the missiles.

Additionally, aerial footage depicting the launch of these missiles with the messages has emerged online. A video shared by Press TV captured the moments of the missile launches. Earlier, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) of Iran announced the commencement of the 83rd phase of Operation True Promise 4, targeting significant American and Israeli military sites in the region using advanced missiles and drones, as reported by Press TV. The targets included oil storage facilities in Ashdod, a military site in the Modi'in settlement, and a U.S. military information exchange center.

The IRGC also reportedly attacked U.S. military bases at Al-Dhafra and Al-Udeiri, as well as maintenance and storage facilities for transport aircraft and drones at Ali Al-Salem Air Base. These actions occurred despite U.S. President Trump indicating a temporary halt in operations against Iran, having extended a pause on American strikes aimed at Iran's energy infrastructure to ten days, until April 6.

Meanwhile, Rafael Grossi, the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, expressed significant concern regarding recent military actions reportedly taking place near Iran's Bushehr Nuclear Power Plant, where explosions were reported earlier this week.

Middle East Conflict: The ongoing conflict in the Middle East has now reached its 28th day. On February 28, the U.S. and Israel conducted joint airstrikes against Iran, resulting in the deaths of several high-ranking officials, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. In retaliation, Iran has targeted Israeli cities, U.S. military bases in Gulf nations, and oil facilities. The IRGC has also obstructed the Strait of Hormuz for U.S. and allied forces. This strait is a vital maritime route that connects oil and gas-producing Gulf nations to global markets, with nearly one-fifth of the world's energy trade passing through it.
