In response to these attacks, Iranian officials issued a warning to nations supporting US military actions, stating they should "prepare for a counterattack" if the American strikes persist. Iran maintains that its military operations are aimed at US forces and installations, not at the Gulf nations themselves, while accusing the US of targeting civilian infrastructure.

Kuwaiti officials confirmed that the Iranian assault impacted a power and water desalination plant, igniting a fire and damaging several electricity generation units. Emergency response teams managed to control the fire, although several firefighters sustained injuries during their efforts.
