The ISSF Electronic Scoring Target (EST) Course is currently taking place at the Crowne Plaza in New Delhi. This initiative is designed to enhance technical skills and develop a cadre of proficient EST officials in the realm of shooting sports.

Course Details and Participation

Running from August 10 to 14, this five-day course is organized by the National Rifle Association of India (NRAI). Jadranka Strukic from Croatia leads the training, supported by Robert Ferencak from Slovenia and Dhiraj Kumar Singh from India. A total of 28 participants from four nations, including India, Japan, South Korea, and Saudi Arabia, are present to improve their knowledge of electronic target systems and international competition standards.

NRAI's Commitment to Technical Excellence

NRAI President Kalikesh Narayan Singh Deo expressed pride in hosting the ISSF EST Course, emphasizing the significance of technology in contemporary shooting sports. He stated, "Mastering Electronic Scoring Target systems is crucial for ensuring our match administration aligns with the highest global standards. India boasts the largest number of ISSF Judges and EST licence holders worldwide, showcasing our strong pool of qualified technical officials."

Importance of the EST Licence

NRAI Secretary General Pawankumar Singh highlighted the necessity of an EST licence for judges participating in Rifle and Pistol juries at international ISSF events, including World Cups and the Olympics. He noted, "We are applying these standards in domestic competitions to provide our officials with more global opportunities."
