Israeli Airstrikes Target Iran's Oil Facilities

In a dramatic escalation of hostilities, Tehran experienced apocalyptic scenes as Israeli airstrikes hit Iran's oil infrastructure during the night of March 7-8. The attacks focused on the Shahran fuel depot located on the northern outskirts of the capital, which serves as a storage site for gasoline and military fuel intended for distribution across the city of thirteen million residents. The Israel Defence Forces (IDF) confirmed that the Israeli Air Force (IAF) executed targeted strikes against various Iranian military assets within the city.

In a post shared on X, the IDF's official account stated: "STRUCK: Several Fuel Storage Complexes Belonging to the IRGC in Tehran." The operation was reportedly guided by IDF intelligence, aiming at specific locations identified as critical for resource distribution to armed units. The IDF emphasized that the strikes inflicted significant damage on the military infrastructure of what they termed the Iranian terrorist regime.

In retaliation, the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) announced the launch of its 27th offensive, dubbed Operation True Promise 4, targeting American and Israeli positions in response to what they described as a new wave of "unprovoked US-Israeli aggression towards the Islamic Republic," according to Iranian state broadcaster Press TV.

The IRGC's latest phase involves coordinated drone and missile strikes aimed at Israeli military infrastructure in the northern occupied territories. They reported using newly developed solid-fuel missile technology for these operations, specifically targeting military sites in Haifa with Kheibar-Shekan missiles, which feature terminal guidance capabilities.

Additionally, Press TV reported that unmanned aerial vehicles were deployed to strike a location housing American personnel, successfully targeting a site near the 'Warner Brothers' company. The IRGC Navy also engaged facilities associated with the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain, claiming to have hit command centers and military support structures.

Internally, the IRGC suggested that the Israeli administration is attempting to use civilians as human shields by confining them to northern and central areas of the occupied territories.
