In a robust effort to combat illegal mining, the Nurpur Police District has ramped up its operations over the last three days. This initiative has resulted in the seizure of eight vehicles that were found in violation of mining laws.
Details of the Enforcement Actions:
- Nurpur Police Station: During routine checks, three multi-axle trucks were confiscated for breaching regulations.
- Damtal Police Station: Police teams executed raids, leading to the seizure of two JCB machines and two multi-axle trucks involved in illegal mining activities. Furthermore, one tractor was fined on-site for non-compliance.
All confiscated vehicles have been forwarded to the court for legal action under the applicable sections of the Mining Act.
Law enforcement officials have reaffirmed their dedication to taking stringent measures against illegal mining and have urged the community to report any such illicit activities promptly. Authorities have promised that similar operations will continue to deter violations and safeguard natural resources.
