An impenetrable barrier was established within the forests, making it nearly impossible for the terrorists to break through.

Reports indicate that while advancing in the rugged terrain, he slipped and fell from a rock. Despite immediate medical attention, he succumbed to his injuries.

Recent Arrests and Drug Crackdown

Meanwhile, the ongoing crackdown on terrorism and crime in Jammu and Kashmir has led to significant developments. In Shopian district, police apprehended three suspects and seized explosive materials along with posters of Hizbul Mujahideen. During the operation in the Pudsou area, two grenades, 2.5 kilograms of plastic explosives, four mobile phones, and materials linked to the terrorist organization were confiscated. The arrested individuals have been identified as Ejaz Ahmed Khande, Arbaaz Ahmed Mir, and Nasir Ahmed Dar, who had reportedly been missing since May 31. This revelation has heightened concerns among security agencies, as terrorist networks in the valley appear to be attempting to re-establish themselves.

Crackdown on Drug Trafficking

On another front, authorities in Samba district have dealt a significant blow to the drug trade. Police have confiscated assets worth over two crore eight lakh rupees belonging to drug trafficker Narayan Sharma, also known as Shuna. The seized properties include a luxurious house, a car, and land worth millions, all reportedly acquired through drug trafficking. The accused is currently incarcerated at Central Jail Kot Bhalwal. This ongoing action against the nexus of terrorism and drug trafficking signals that security agencies in Jammu and Kashmir are not in the mood to relent on any front.
