Emphasizing Innovation in Healthcare

On Saturday, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla highlighted the urgent need for innovation and research in the medical field, stressing the importance of leveraging rapid advancements in science and technology to address emerging health challenges.


Birla inaugurated the seventh annual international conference of the Innovative Physician Forum. According to a statement released by the Lok Sabha Secretariat, he noted that India's healthcare system is characterized by quality, accessibility, and affordability.


He further stated that the quality of healthcare services in India has been successfully enhanced, ensuring that these services are available to every citizen.


He remarked, “While developed nations are grappling with increasing health challenges, Indian doctors are enhancing their global reputation by adopting innovations and cutting-edge technologies.”


Birla emphasized that India's robust scientific talent, strong research facilities, and commitment to innovation are not only meeting the country's healthcare needs but also addressing global challenges.


Reiterating the significance of innovation and research in the medical sector, he described it as a necessity of our times.
