Arrest Made Over Inappropriate Social Media Post

A man has been taken into custody for allegedly posting offensive content regarding Congress MP and Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi. This information was confirmed by a police official on Saturday.

The accused, identified as 27-year-old Ajay Kumar Chaurasia, was apprehended on Friday evening in the Anpara Bazaar area of the district. According to Rajesh Kumar Singh, the officer in charge of the Renusagar police station, Chaurasia had shared an inappropriate image of Rahul Gandhi along with disrespectful comments on his WhatsApp status.

Singh further stated that a case was registered based on a complaint from Congress leader Mridul Mishra, invoking relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code. The police are proceeding with further legal actions in this matter.
