IndiGo Flight Makes Emergency Landing

A flight from Medina to Hyderabad operated by IndiGo was diverted to Ahmedabad Airport on Thursday following a bomb threat, as reported by a police official.

According to Atul Bansal, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone-4), the aircraft landed safely at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport around 12:30 PM. All passengers and crew members were evacuated for a thorough search of the plane.

Bansal explained that the threat was communicated via an email sent to IndiGo, claiming that a bomb was on board the flight. Given that Ahmedabad was the nearest airport, the pilot opted to land there as a precautionary measure.

Following the bomb threat alert, local police, the Central Industrial Security Force, and the National Disaster Response Force arrived at the scene to assist. Initial searches revealed no suspicious items on the aircraft.
