IndiGo Faces Major Flight Disruptions: What Passengers Need to Know
IndiGo's Operational Challenges
New Delhi: IndiGo has announced that Friday is expected to see the highest number of flight cancellations as the airline works to restore its systems and improve scheduling.
In a statement shared on X, the airline mentioned, "We are implementing short-term proactive cancellations to streamline operations and alleviate congestion at airports, preparing for a stronger restart tomorrow."
As the disruptions continue into their fourth day, hundreds of flights have been either cancelled or delayed, leaving many travelers stranded at various airports.
IndiGo has expressed deep regret over the ongoing issues, acknowledging that a quick resolution is unlikely.
"We anticipate that today will see the most cancellations as we take necessary steps to reboot our systems and schedules for gradual improvement starting tomorrow," the airline stated.
On Friday, all domestic flights departing from Delhi airport were cancelled until midnight as IndiGo continues to face significant operational challenges.
Additionally, all departing flights from Chennai airport have been cancelled until 6 PM on Friday, according to reports.
