"In June 2025, electric two-wheelers captured 7.3% of the market, up from 5.8% a year ago, indicating increasing consumer confidence in EV technology. Electric three-wheelers now account for over 60% of all three-wheeler sales, solidifying their importance in last-mile connectivity, while the penetration of electric passenger vehicles rose to 4.4% and electric commercial vehicles doubled to 1.56% year-on-year," he stated.
He emphasized that the expansion of charging infrastructure and promotion of domestic innovation are pivotal in driving record EV sales across the country, paving the way for a cleaner, smarter, and self-reliant future in mobility for India.
