Following its military actions against Pakistan, the Indian government is now preparing to encircle the nation diplomatically. India is set to launch a diplomatic offensive aimed at reinforcing its united stance against cross-border terrorism under Operation Sindoor. At the end of this month, seven bipartisan delegations, led by prominent parliamentarians, are scheduled to visit key partner countries, including members of the United Nations Security Council.

The government plans to send these delegations to convey India's firm message of zero tolerance towards terrorism, particularly in light of the Pahalgam terrorist attack and the ongoing Operation Sindoor. A statement released by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs on Saturday emphasized that these delegations will present India's national consensus and resolute approach to combating all forms of terrorism. They aim to communicate the strong message that India will not tolerate terrorism.

Composition of the Delegations

Leading the seven delegations will be notable figures such as BJP MPs Ravi Shankar Prasad and Baijayant Panda, Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, JD(U) MP Sanjay Jha, DMK's Kanimozhi, NCP's Supriya Sule, and Shiv Sena's Shrikant Shinde. Among these leaders, four represent the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA), while three are from the opposition 'INDIA' alliance.

Sources indicate that each delegation is expected to visit approximately five countries. The ministry's statement also mentioned that distinguished diplomats will accompany each delegation.

In the context of Operation Sindoor and India's ongoing battle against cross-border terrorism, the seven bipartisan delegations will soon embark on their visits to key partner nations, including members of the UN Security Council. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju highlighted on social media that India stands united during these crucial moments.
