Arrival of the Indian Cricket Team

The Indian cricket team has landed in Japan to participate in a significant one-off T20I match against Japan, as well as the men's cricket tournament at the Asian Games. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared visuals of their arrival on Monday.

In a post on their social media platform, BCCI released a video showcasing the Indian men's team, which includes prominent players such as Ishan Kishan, Jasprit Bumrah, Shreyas Iyer, Arshdeep Singh, and Ravi Bishnoi. The players received a warm welcome from fans, many of whom had the opportunity to take photos with them.

Ishan Kishan was seen greeting fans with a cheerful 'Konnichiwa and Arigato', which translates to 'Hello and Thank you' in Japanese.

India, which secured the Gold medal in the last Asian Games under the leadership of Ruturaj Gaikwad, is set to play its first match in the 2026 edition on September 28 during the quarter-final stage.
