The Indian Youth boxing team continued its journey at the World Boxing Futures Cup 2026 in Bangkok, showcasing a mix of outcomes on the second day. Notable performances came from Radhamani Longjam and Sahil Duhan, who both emerged victorious in their matches.
In the women's 57kg division, Radhamani Longjam exhibited an impressive display, defeating her Uzbek opponent with a Referee Stopped Contest (RSC) in the third round. Meanwhile, Sahil Duhan, competing in the men's 60kg category, maintained his strong form, winning decisively with a 5-0 unanimous decision against a boxer from Turkmenistan. However, Udham Singh faced a challenging match, narrowly losing 3-2 to his Japanese rival.

The World Boxing Futures Cup, taking place in Bangkok from March 8 to 15, features some of the brightest young boxing talents globally, competing in Youth Olympic weight classes. The Indian Youth boxing team kicked off their campaign at the World Boxing Futures Cup 2026 in Bangkok with a robust performance. On the opening day, Joyshree Devi Chirom, Ambekar Meetei Lairenlakpam, and Sahil Duhan all secured victories. Joyshree Devi Chirom, competing in the women's 54kg category, achieved a Referee Stopped Contest (RSC) victory in the second round against her opponent from Tajikistan.
