Incident Overview


New Delhi. The Ministry of Electricity in Kuwait reported on Monday that an Indian worker lost his life due to an Iranian attack on a power station, which also caused significant damage to a nearby building. According to a statement from the Kuwaiti Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy, the incident occurred on Sunday evening and was labeled as an act of aggression by Iran against Kuwait.

‘Continued Iranian Aggression Against Kuwait’
The ministry's spokesperson, Engineer Fatima Abbas Johar Hayat, stated, “An attack was carried out on a service building located within a power and water desalination plant, resulting in the death of an Indian employee and considerable damage to the building.”

Ballistic and Cruise Missiles Targeting Kuwait
Kuwait, among several Gulf nations, has been adversely affected by the ongoing conflict involving Iran, the United States, and Israel. Tehran has targeted various infrastructures and American bases in the region.

In a separate statement, Kuwait's Ministry of Defense revealed that since the conflict began less than a month ago, a total of 307 ballistic missiles, two cruise missiles, and 616 drones have been launched at the country.

What the Defense Ministry Reported
On Sunday, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense announced that it had detected and destroyed 14 ballistic missiles and 12 enemy drones within the last 24 hours. During a media briefing, spokesperson Colonel Saud Al-Attawan mentioned that some of these missiles and drones targeted a base of the Kuwaiti armed forces, resulting in injuries to 10 personnel and significant damage to the location.
