Indian Women's Football Team Kicks Off Training Camp Ahead of Turkiye Friendlies
Training Camp Commences in Gurugram
The Indian senior women's football team, consisting of 29 players, has officially started their training camp in Gurugram, as reported by the All India Football Federation (AIFF). The Blue Tigresses gathered in the city a day prior and conducted their inaugural training session today, with plans to train until January 14.
Upcoming Friendlies in Turkiye
On January 15, the team will depart for Antalya, Turkiye, where they will engage in three closed-door friendly matches. This is part of their preparation for the AFC Women's Asian Cup Australia 2026. Their first match is scheduled against FC Metalist 1925 Kharkiv from Ukraine on January 18, followed by a game against FC Zurich Frauen from Switzerland on January 21, and concluding with FC Schlieren, also from Switzerland, on January 24. These matches will take place in Manavgat, approximately 75 kilometers from Antalya.
