Men's 200m Butterfly

On Friday, swimmer Sajan Prakash secured his place in the finals of the men's 200m butterfly event at the Asian Games taking place in Aichi-Nagoya. He finished third in his heat with a time of 2:00.94, ensuring his spot in the final, which is set for 2:51 PM IST, according to Olympics.com.

Men's 200m Backstroke

Rishabh Das also advanced to the finals of the men's 200m backstroke, finishing fourth in the heats with a time of 2:00.53. Utkarsh Patil joined him, placing ninth with a time of 2:02.13. The final for this event is scheduled for 1:55 PM IST.

Men's 400m Freestyle

In the men's 400m freestyle, Aneesh Sunil and Dhakshan Shashikumar were unable to qualify for the finals, finishing 17th and 18th in their heats. Aneesh recorded a time of 3:58.08, while Dhakshan clocked 3:58.73. Only the top 10 swimmers from the heats progressed to the final.

10m Air Pistol Mixed Team

In shooting, the duo of Kamaljeet and Suruchi Singh excelled in the 10m air pistol mixed team event, advancing to the finals with a top score of 587-29x, just four points shy of the world record held by China since July 2026. Their impressive series scores of 196, 195, and 196 secured them a place in the finals, where they will compete against teams from Iran (584-17x), South Korea (582-23x), and Indonesia (580-30x).

Men’s 10m Air Pistol Team

Following some disappointing performances, the men's 10m air pistol team, consisting of Kamaljeet, Kedarling Balakrishna, and Aakash Bhardwaj, finished fourth with a score of 1727-53x. They were outperformed by China (1743-70x), Indonesia (1743-57x), and Japan (1730-54x). Kamaljeet scored 580-16x, placing ninth individually, while Aakash finished eleventh with 579-20x. Only the top eight shooters qualify for the individual finals, and Kedarling Uchaganve struggled, finishing 35th with a score of 568.
