Indian Students Evacuated Amid Ongoing Israel-Iran Conflict
Safety Measures for Indian Nationals in Tehran
Israel-Iran Conflict: As hostilities escalate between Israel and Iran, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced on Tuesday that Indian students have been safely relocated from Tehran, facilitated by the Embassy. In a statement on X, the MEA mentioned, "Residents who can manage their own transportation have also been advised to leave the city due to the evolving situation. Additionally, some Indians have been assisted in exiting Iran via the Armenia border."
The MEA further emphasized that the Embassy will continue to provide all possible support to the Indian community. In a separate post on X, the Indian Embassy in Iran shared three contact numbers for Indian nationals who are stranded in Tehran or have not yet reached out. The Embassy urged, "All Indian Nationals in Tehran who have not been in contact with us should reach out to the Embassy of India in Tehran immediately and share their location and contact details. Please call: +989010144557; +989128109115; +989128109109."
Moreover, the Indian Embassy has advised Indian nationals and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) who can leave independently to move to safer locations. The conflict has now reached its fifth day, resulting in the deaths of 224 individuals in Iran and 24 in Israel.
